Feeling like starting something new? Yeah, me too! I awoke this morning visualizing and creating and checking things off the list of hard things to do with ease and promise of delight. I was sharing this excitement with my coach and mentor, Marie when I realized that today is the new moon. For years now I have noticed how my energy waxes and wanes with the moon phases, though mostly with curiosity in the moment. Now I am beginning to work the knowledge and experience into my projects and personal phases.
A little more about the New Moon phase.
The new moon cannot be seen in the sky because the moon and the sun are on the same side of the Earth. We are essentially looking at the dark side of the moon. No reflection.
This is a time for new beginnings, of setting intentions, and putting the past behind you. A bit of a fresh start, and perhaps a new way of seeing things. I find so much joy in the new moon phase. This is a great time to activate ideas and light fires. Today I notice that I have so many great ideas for projects that I need to write them down so I can focus and build on them as the week progresses. Given that we are in spring as I write this, imagine planting seeds in anticipation of warmth and water and nutrient-rich soil. I am inspired, creative, and on fire with possibility!
This morning I visualized creating a program for Art Therapy for Anxiety and Depression. This program is not necessarily for artists nor for artistic people, but designed to allow expression of emotions and possibility through color and shape. This is my new moon seed.
What is your seed, your inspiration on the new moon? I would love to hear from you!
